About Me

Hello, I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Rick Lazauskas and I am a first year teacher.  Originally, I am from Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Northwest Florida during my high school years.  Throughout my school career, I played baseball and have a love for the game; as well as many other sports.  I married my high school sweetheart and we have one daughter, who is a freshman at Auburn University.

I obtained my Associate's degree from Pensacola Junior College in the early 1990's and began attending the University Of West Florida.  While attending college I pitched for the baseball team and then had to leave school due to an injury. Upon leaving school, I started working full time in the medical field to support my new family.  While touring colleges with my daughter, I realized that I wanted to complete the degree I started many years ago and fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher.  To help complete this dream, I enrolled at Grand Canyon University and received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.
